The Allan Cup Hockey League (ACH), Ontario’s premier Senior AAA hockey league, is entering an exciting new era of expansion and growth. With deep roots in tradition and a commitment to the future, the league is exploring opportunities to introduce new franchises across Southern Ontario — strengthening the game and expanding competition for Canada’s oldest national hockey championship, the Allan Cup.
This expansion initiative reflects ACH’s mission to preserve and promote the highest level of amateur hockey while engaging new communities and offering more opportunities for players, fans, and local partners to be part of Canada’s most historic senior hockey competition.
The league currently features proud organizations based in Cambridge, Dundas, St. Catharines, Stoney Creek, and Wentworth — each representing their community with pride, passion, and professionalism. The addition of new teams will further enhance the competitive balance and regional reach of the league, ensuring that the Allan Cup remains a true national symbol of excellence in amateur hockey.
ACH Commissioner Rick Richardson shared his enthusiasm for the next phase of league development:
