On Thursday night, the Wentworth Gryphins and Dundas Real McCoys were scoring in pairs with Wentworth topping Dundas by a score of 6-4 at the Harry Howell Arena. Kyle Lewis and Remy Giftopoulos each had a goal and an assist while Alex Hutchings scored a pair of goals in the game.

Brett Flemming kicked off the scoring for the home side at 4:33 of the first period and was followed by Lewis just over three minutes later to take a 2-0 lead. However, the McCoys responded with two goals of their own with Simon Mangos and Cam Fergus finding the back of the net, evening the game at two as the teams headed to the first break.

The second period saw just two goals scored, both by Wentworth to regain their two-goal lead. Hutchings scored his seventh of the year at 11:05 and then Giftopoulos at 17:19.

Dundas regrouped and evened the game back up in the first 4:10 of the third period, getting goals from Mackenzie Wood and Nathan Longpre. It stayed tied for eight minutes before Ryan Foss scored the eventual winner for the Gryphins. Hutchings would add a power play marker with 4:20 remaining in the third, collecting his league leading eighth goal and 18th point.

Matthew Camilleri picked up the win for Wentworth, making 40 stops on the night while the McCoys’ DeMelo took the loss, making 44 saves.

The Gryphins head out on the road for their next game as they take on the St. Catharines Saints on Saturday night starting at 7:30pm at the Merritton Centennial Arena. For Dundas, they look to regroup right away, hosting the Cambridge Hornets on Friday night at the J.L. Grightmire Arena starting at 7:30pm.
