Player and Goalie of the Week - Week #12

Weekly honours for the period ending January 18 were announced by the Allan Cup Hockey League on Monday afternoon.
The Cambridge Hornets' Steve MacAulay earned Player of the Week honours after a standout two-game performance against the St. Catharines Saints. MacAulay recorded three goals and four assists over the back-to-back series, factoring into seven goals for his club out of the nine they scored. His impact was felt in all situations, highlighted by a shorthanded marker. Consistent, dangerous, and reliable, MacAulay set the pace offensively throughout the week.
Trevor Micucci of the St. Catharines Saints earned the Week 12 Goalie of the Week honours after a demanding back-to-back set against the Cambridge Hornets, turning aside 63 shots over two nights. Facing repeated looks and adjustments from the opposition, Micucci handled a heavy workload and helped his team split the series. His resilience and compete level in a challenging assignment stood out among the league’s goaltenders this week.
