Player and Goalie of the Week - Week #15

The Allan Cup Hockey League is pleased to announce the Players of the Week for the week ending February 8th. Mackenzie Wood of the Dundas Real McCoys and Daniel Svedin of the Stoney Creek Tigers have been recognized for their outstanding performances.
Wood scored in both games this week, collecting four goals that extended his goal-scoring streak to four consecutive games and vaulted him into the league lead with 18 goals on the season. His biggest performance came Saturday night against the St. Catharines Saints, where he recorded his third hat trick of the season and added an assist in the Real McCoys' victory.
Honourable mention goes to the Wentworth Gryphins' Alex Hutchings, whose four-point night on Thursday against Cambridge made him the 35th player since the 2011-12 season to reach the century mark in career ACHL points.
Svedin was one save away from a shutout in his lone appearance of the week, turning aside 34 shots from a powerful Wentworth Gryphins squad. His stellar performance helped the Tigers capture a crucial win against the second-place team.
