Saints Ravage The McCoys For 9-3 Win

A night after a hard-fought battle In Dundas, the Real McCoys and St. Catharines Saints did battle once again, this time in the Garden City at the Merritton Centennial Arena. On this night, both teams would have a player scoring a hat-trick, Mackenzie Wood for Dundas and Justin Back for the Saints, with Brack getting the game winner.

Wood got the McCoys on the board 68 seconds into the contest, but from there it pretty much all St. Catharines the rest of the way. Travis Houle, Guy Manco and David Pacan all scored to take a 3-1 lead with Manco and Pacan scoring 23 seconds apart. Wood closed out the scoring in the first period with his second of the game.

The Saints would have a four-goal outburst in the second period, giving them a lead that they would not give up. Brack got his first of the game 46 seconds into the period to make it 4-2. It remained that way until the later stages of the frame when Jordan Wilson scored at 13:30. Cody Freeman then extended the St. Catharines lead to 6-2 before Brack notched his second of the period with 2:44 left to go in the period.

Wood and Brack each would complete their hat tricks in the final period with Brendan Guignard also collecting a goal for the Saints in the third, making the final 9-3.

The win by St. Catharines brings them to 4-5-0-0 on the season, moving them past Cambridge into fourth place by two points.
